Biomass:

Biomass Energy is energy that is produced from living mater (plant or animal). Biomass fuels are sustainable and allows for the utilization of organic waste by creating energy from the gases that are produced during decomposition. Biomass plays a dual role in greenhouse gas mitigation, both as an energy source to substitute for fossil fuels (bioenergy) and as a carbon sink. Biomass already accounts for 5% of the European Union's energy supply, and 65% of the total renewable energy. Nereus offers Biomass solutions for both landfills and agricultural waste.

Because every biomass project is different it is necessary to do a full assessment to determine the potential of utilizing the biomass. Nereus’s Team will:

Determine if there is enough       organic waste (biomass) in       place or being produced to       make a viable biomass       project.	If viable, will prepare a       quotation for design and       installing an electric power       generation station.
Assess the condition of the       landfill, agriculture waste       lagoons, or other organic       waste collection area and       determine what has to be       done to make these areas       viable methane gas and       energy generators.	Assess the potential of       selling the CERs (Certified       Emission Reduction Carbon       Credits) and develop the       documentation and       methodology to determine       the amount of CER’s that       can be produced and sold       and work to get the CERs       verified and registered.
Assess the climatic       condition to determine       decomposition rate.
Assessment of potential for       electrical generation and       access to the gird or local       energy users.	Provide legal advice on       environmental issues       regarding the project.
Quote on designing and       building new landfill cells       or agricultural lagoon       systems.	Market and sale the CERs.
Prepare a quotation for       design and installing a       methane gas capture       system.
